Job Description:
  • The Workforce Analyst is responsible for conducting occupational employment and wage data collection in accordance with established survey procedures and guidelines.
  • The role involves contacting employers to collect survey information, verifying submitted data, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring data quality.
  • The analyst will support survey operations by reviewing responses, performing follow-ups, coding occupational data, and entering verified information into designated systems.
Responsibilities:
  • Conduct the Occupational Employment and Wage Statistics (OEWS) survey to collect occupational employment and wage data from employers.
  • Contact employers via telephone to obtain survey data and encourage participation.
  • Identify geographic areas and industries with low response rates and focus survey collection efforts accordingly.
  • Review and verify employer-submitted information for completeness and accuracy.
  • Perform follow-ups with employers through phone, mail, email, and fax to obtain missing or corrected information.
  • Code occupational data using the Standard Occupational Classification (SOC) system.
  • Enter verified data into the occupation wage and data network system.
  • Conduct address refinement on sample units before survey solicitation.
  • Verify UI status, physical location, mailing address, contact information, previous response status, and current employment levels before survey mailings.
  • Run and review quality control edits within survey processing software.
  • Analyze problem areas identified during survey processing and perform necessary corrections.
Skills:
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Data verification and data entry skills.
  • Strong communication and follow-up abilities.
Qualification And Education:
  • High School Diploma or higher.
Should Have:
  • Experience in customer service, telephone sales, or collections
  • Data entry experience.
