We need one Sr. QA contractor to join our .NET engineering team, responsible for modernizing internal applications and retail-facing systems. This role will partner with a fast-moving development team modernizing legacy .NET applications into Node.js and more modern and Reactive UI frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Support QA across UX redesigns, application re-skins, and business logic combinations.
- Validate custom retail applications against business rules, mapping logic, and workflows.
- Work with high-speed team, adhering to solid QA structure without slowing delivery.
- Guide developers in implementing unit and integration testing practices; advise on quality gates.
- Validate integrations with surrounding enterprise systems (e.g., D365, Kibo, Stibo, OMS, other legacy retail apps).
- Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to ensure functional alignment.
- Track QA activities in ADO, including test evidence and defect triage.
Required Skills
Over all 12+ years of Quality Assurance testing experience.
- 3+ years QA experience in Enterprise Retail / ecommerce applications.
- Experience testing legacy-to-modern tech migrations (e.g., .NET to Node.js and React).
- Strong understanding of business logic mapping and retail workflows.
- Comfortable validating UX design changes and ensuring functional parity in new systems.
- Familiarity with APIs, SQL Server databases, and custom integration points.
- Experience working closely with rapid development teams with limited documentation.
Preferred
- Knowledge of modern frameworks ( react based) and developer testing approaches.
- Prior experience in guiding developers on unit/integration testing best practices.
- Exposure to retail omni-channel workflows and custom retail applications.

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($65.00-68.00), during the contract period. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law.
