We need one Sr. QA contractor to join our .NET engineering team, responsible for modernizing internal applications and retail-facing systems. This role will partner with a fast-moving development team modernizing legacy .NET applications into Node.js and more modern and Reactive UI frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Support QA across UX redesigns, application re-skins, and business logic combinations.
  • Validate custom retail applications against business rules, mapping logic, and workflows.
  • Work with high-speed team, adhering to solid QA structure without slowing delivery.
  • Guide developers in implementing unit and integration testing practices; advise on quality gates.
  • Validate integrations with surrounding enterprise systems (e.g., D365, Kibo, Stibo, OMS, other legacy retail apps).
  • Collaborate directly with business stakeholders to ensure functional alignment.
  • Track QA activities in ADO, including test evidence and defect triage.

Required Skills

Over all 12+ years of Quality Assurance testing experience. 

  • 3+ years QA experience in Enterprise Retail / ecommerce applications.
  • Experience testing legacy-to-modern tech migrations (e.g., .NET to Node.js and React).
  • Strong understanding of business logic mapping and retail workflows.
  • Comfortable validating UX design changes and ensuring functional parity in new systems.
  • Familiarity with APIs, SQL Server databases, and custom integration points.
  • Experience working closely with rapid development teams with limited documentation.

Preferred

  • Knowledge of modern frameworks ( react based) and developer testing approaches.
  • Prior experience in guiding developers on unit/integration testing best practices.
  • Exposure to retail omni-channel workflows and custom retail applications.

The anticipated hourly rate range for this position is ($65.00-68.00), during the contract period. Actual hourly rate will be based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, knowledge, skills and other factors permitted by law. A range of medical, dental, retirement and/or other benefits are available after a waiting period.
