Business/Data Analyst (Wealth Management Domain)

We are looking for a Data-Centric Business Analyst with deep domain expertise in Wealth Management. This role focuses on data discovery, profiling, and translating complex financial business needs into technical logic. You will bridge the gap between investment stakeholders and engineering teams to ensure data integrity across AUM, performance, and transaction reporting.

• Domain Expertise: 5+ years in Wealth Management or Asset Management. Must understand portfolio holdings, performance returns, AUM, custodian feeds, and fee structures.

• Expert SQL: Mastery of complex queries, including CTEs, window functions, and multi-table joins for deep-dive analysis.

• Business Analysis: Strong ability to gather functional requirements from advisors/portfolio managers and translate them into data logic and acceptance criteria.

• Data Profiling & Validation: Hands-on experience investigating data gaps, performing source-to-target reconciliation, and validating ETL pipeline outputs.

• Technical Stack: Proficiency in Python (Pandas/NumPy) for ad-hoc analysis and familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud data platforms.

• Data Discovery: Explore complex financial datasets to identify anomalies and document data dictionaries.

• Logic Definition: Formalize calculation logic for KPIs like performance returns and client segmentation.

• Pipeline Validation: Develop test cases and scripts to verify that data pipelines align with business rules.

• Reporting: Create and maintain dashboards and frameworks to support investment strategy and compliance.

• Experience with Wealth platforms (Addepar, Orion, or Black Diamond).

• Exposure to custodian formats (Schwab, Pershing, Fidelity).

• Hands-on PySpark or Spark SQL experience.

• Financial certifications (CFA, CIPM) or data-specific cloud certifications.
