Position: SAP Logistics IT Manager (LE, WM, EWM, TM)

IT Manager / Team Lead SAP Warehousing & Logistics-SAP LE, WM, EWM, and TM, including core logistics processes such as deliveries, shipments, picking, packing, transportation units, and transportation orders.
Summary
We are seeking an experienced IT Manager / Team Lead to support and lead SAP Warehousing and Logistics capabilities within our organization. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with deep experience in SAP LE, WM, EWM, and TM, including core logistics processes such as deliveries, shipments, picking, packing, transportation units, and transportation orders. Valvoline Global is currently running an S/4 HANA transformation project. So, the ideal candidate will have SAP ECC and S/4 HANA experience.
This individual will serve as a key partner to the business, building and maintaining strong relationships with business stakeholders while leading IT efforts that support operational goals and strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will be approachable, collaborative, and service-oriented, while also confident in providing thoughtful pushback when needed to ensure solutions are scalable, supportable, and aligned with business and IT priorities. The role requires strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to influence direct reports, peers, and business partners to drive alignment, adoption, and successful delivery of solutions.
This role will report to a Senior Manager or Director and will be expected to lead day-to-day initiatives, support project delivery, mentor team members, and help position IT as a trusted partner to the business. Travel to headquarters is expected up to 25%, with the potential for additional travel during key project milestones.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead and support SAP Warehousing and Logistics solutions across SAP LE, WM, EWM, and TM.
Manage and coordinate day-to-day activities for assigned projects, enhancements, production support, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as a team leader and subject matter expert for warehousing and logistics-related SAP processes and solutions.
Partner closely with business stakeholders to understand operational needs, priorities, and process improvement opportunities.
Build and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, establishing IT as a responsive, credible, and value-added partner.
Influence direct reports, peers, and business partners to drive alignment on priorities, solution direction, and execution.
Facilitate discussions with business teams to define requirements, evaluate options, and recommend scalable SAP solutions.
Provide constructive challenge and appropriate pushback when business requests are misaligned with standards, long-term strategy, or system capabilities.
Support and oversee configuration of SAP modules related to warehousing and logistics processes.
Drive and support solutions involving deliveries, shipments, picking, packing, transportation units, and transportation orders.
Collaborate with cross-functional IT and business teams to ensure effective integration across related processes and systems.
Participate in solution design, testing, deployment, user support, and post-go-live stabilization activities.
Mentor, coach, and guide team members, helping to develop functional knowledge, accountability, and effective business engagement.
Lead through a combination of direct management and influence, helping teams and stakeholders navigate competing priorities and reach sound decisions.
Assist leadership with roadmap planning, prioritization, resource coordination, and execution of strategic initiatives.
Ensure solutions are well-documented, supportable, and aligned with organizational standards and controls.
Work Experience:
15+ years of experience in SAP Warehousing and Logistics.
Strong hands-on and functional/configuration experience in:
o SAP LE (Logistics Execution)
o SAP WM (Warehouse Management)
o SAP EWM (Extended Warehouse Management)
o SAP TM (Transportation Management)
Proven experience configuring SAP solutions supporting:
o Deliveries
o Shipments
o Picking
o Packing
o Transportation Units
o Transportation Orders
Experience with SAP output configuration and determination, including NACE, BRF+, and PPF.
Experience in integrating with external WMS and TMS systems.
Experience leading or coordinating small teams, workstreams, or functional resources within enterprise SAP environments.
Demonstrated success partnering with business stakeholders in warehousing, logistics, transportation, and supply chain functions.
Experience gathering business requirements, translating them into functional specifications, and delivering practical SAP solutions.
Experience influencing team members, peers, and business stakeholders in support of project execution, prioritization, and adoption of solutions.
Experience supporting SAP projects through design, build, testing, deployment, and hypercare/support phases.
Experience working in complex, cross-functional environments with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
Willingness and ability to travel to headquarters up to 25%, with additional travel as needed during major project milestones.
Knowledge - Skills - Competencies
Deep knowledge of SAP Warehousing and Logistics processes and configuration across LE, WM, EWM, and TM.
Strong understanding of warehouse and transportation business processes and how they are supported within SAP.
Hands-on configuration skills within relevant SAP modules.
Familiarity with SAP clean core principles and event-based architecture / integration is a plus.
Knowledge of SAP interface mechanisms such as ALE/IDOC, RFC, SOAP and modern APIs is a strong plus.
Ability to coordinate with technical teams ABAP, integration, etc.
Knowledge of SAP output management processes and tools, including NACE, BRF+, and PPF.
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to develop trust and credibility with business partners.
