Job Description
We are seeking a Data Scientist Contractor to join our dynamic team supporting our client project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in data science, machine learning, and cloud-based data engineering and a proven ability to deliver rapid, iterative analytical solutions that drive business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Collect, process, and analyze large structured and unstructured datasets to identify trends and insights.
- Develop and implement AI/ML models, including propensity models, to solve business problems.
- Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project teams to define data requirements and deliver iterative, agile analytics.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and quality checks.
- Partner with data engineers to build and refine pipelines and features that support model development.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Primary Skill: Data Science at an advanced level with 6-9 years of experience.
- Hands-on experience building and validating machine learning models, including propensity modeling.
- Proficiency with data processing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
- Ability to create clear visualizations and dashboards for non-technical audiences.
- Experience collaborating in agile project teams and delivering rapid iterations.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience using GenAI or Data Assist tools to accelerate analytics and delivery.
- Background in HR analytics or people data.
- AWS data engineering exposure, including S3 and cloud databases; Databricks familiarity is a plus.
Role Tracks on the Team (for context):
- Data Science Lead (Senior Consultant or Manager): Leads agile, iterative data science efforts and partners with engineering to mature models.
- Data Science Support (Senior Consultant or Consultant): Develops AI/ML models under direction as part of a team.
- Data Engineer (Consultant): Builds AWS pipelines, manages structured and unstructured data, loads to S3 and tabular schemas; Databricks preferred.

- Work location: All work will be performed within the United States.
- Project stage: Internal.
- Expenses: Not permitted.
- Max vendor rate: Market rate.
- Hours per day: 8. Labor type: Business Professional.
