Front-End Developer

Location: Kansas City, Missouri - need to be 100 miles of KC

Role Overview

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to contribute to a significant modernization effort. This role will be instrumental in building out a new UX plan and a reusable component library from the ground up. The ideal candidate will work closely with a UX designer to translate design concepts into high-quality, scalable front-end solutions and help establish best practices for future development.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement user interface designs provided by the UX designer, ensuring intended interactions and layout are accurately reflected.
• Partner with the UX designer, product owners, and other developers to translate design concepts into front-end solutions.
• Build and maintain reusable React components that support consistency across applications.
• Contribute to the development of a shared component library to accelerate development.
• Implement responsive, accessible, and performant user interfaces that meet modern usability standards.
• Collaborate within Agile/Scrum teams to ensure features are delivered effectively.
• Provide input on design feasibility, technical constraints, and implementation trade-offs.
• Support iterative design and development by refining implementations based on feedback and testing.
• Assist in establishing and applying front-end development standards and best practices.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of front-end development experience with React.
• Previous experience working directly with a designer to implement user interface designs from wireframes or mockups into production-ready code.
• Strong proficiency in modern front-end technologies (JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
• Experience building reusable components and contributing to a component-based architecture.
• Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility standards, and usability best practices.
• Experience collaborating with UX designers, product owners, and developers in an Agile/Scrum environment.
• Ability to work independently while supporting multiple applications and priorities.
• Candidates must reside within 100 miles of Kansas City.
