Job Description:
Title: Infrastructure Designer
Location: Plano, Texas 75024
Duration: 12 Months (Contract Role)
What are the daily responsibilities and/or priorities?
Manage and maintain application environments, ensuring availability, stability, and performance across development, testing, and production stages.
Coordinate environment refreshes, upgrades, and patching activities in collaboration with technical teams.
Monitor infrastructure health, identify issues, and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime.
Support deployment activities by ensuring environments are configured and ready for testing and release.
Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve environment-related issues.
Manage infrastructure provisioning, including servers, storage, and network configurations, as required for project needs.
Maintain environment configuration documentation, including setup guides, runbooks, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Ensure compliance with security and governance policies for all environments and infrastructure.
Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Create and manage Change Requests (CRs) using Remedy to ensure proper tracking and approval of environment changes.
Work within Agile methodologies, participating in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives to ensure alignment with team goals.
Provide on-call support for critical environment and infrastructure issues during off-hours and weekends
Coordinate and support weekend activities, including deployments, upgrades, and other critical tasks

Strong knowledge of environment management processes, including setup, refresh, and maintenance.
Hands-on experience with infrastructure management tools and technologies (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms).
Experience with SAP solution manager, ITSM Remedy, Cutover, Release Manager, and Jira and Horizon tools
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python, or PowerShell) for automation and troubleshooting.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, or similar).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics, or Nagios) to track environment and infrastructure health.
Strong understanding of networking, server configurations, and storage management.
Experience in creating and managing Change Requests (CRs) using Remedy.
Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint for tracking and documentation.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience working in Agile environments, with a solid understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
Experience with Oracle and SAP infrastructure maintenance, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of ITIL processes for incident, problem, and change management.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.
Experience in automating environment provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or Chef.
