Description:
PV&V Electrification Engineer

Location: Fargo, ND

Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Overview

We are seeking an engineer to support testing and validation of power electronics systems, including motors, inverters, and converters. This role involves requirement gathering, documentation, troubleshooting, and close collaboration with customers and project teams to ensure product performance and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

Collect, review, and organize test requirements from stakeholders
Support PV&V testing of power electronics systems in-house and externally
Maintain accurate documentation of test plans, procedures, and results
Apply structured troubleshooting and debugging methods
Collaborate with customers and project teams to align testing with specifications
Travel domestically 1-2 times per year for customer meetings

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Agricultural, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Knowledge of embedded controllers, motor control principles, and high-voltage safety practices
Experience with system-level testing, design validation, and product development environments
Hands-on skills with dynos, oscilloscopes, multimeters, and power analyzers
Familiarity with microcontroller peripherals and communication networks (CAN, Ethernet, RS-232/485)
Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

Experience with three-phase power and high-voltage systems
Motor control software expertise
Strong background in testing and validation
