Position Summary
Huntington Bank is seeking a
ServiceNow Lead Engineer to serve as the technical lead for the bank's growing
Customer Service Management (CSM) and
Financial Services Operations (FSO) platform capabilities. This individual will act as the primary subject matter expert for ServiceNow FSO solutions and help shape the future state of Huntington's ServiceNow financial services ecosystem.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in ServiceNow CSM, strong platform development capabilities, and the ability to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions. This role will provide technical leadership, mentor junior developers, and drive best practices across the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the technical lead and subject matter expert for ServiceNow CSM and FSO solutions.
- Design, configure, develop, and support ServiceNow applications and platform enhancements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into user stories and technical specifications.
- Lead solution design discussions and provide architectural guidance for ServiceNow implementations.
- Develop and maintain custom applications, workflows, integrations, business rules, client scripts, and platform configurations.
- Mentor and coach junior ServiceNow developers while promoting development standards and best practices.
- Support integration efforts between ServiceNow and enterprise platforms.
- Participate in sprint planning, backlog refinement, estimation, and technical reviews.
- Ensure solutions align with Huntington's security, compliance, and operational standards.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of ServiceNow development and engineering experience.
- Deep experience with Customer Service Management (CSM).
- Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including:
- Workspaces
- Case Management
- Data Model
- Business Rules
- Script Includes
- Client Scripts
- Update Sets
- Forms, Fields, Lists, and Views
- Experience building and supporting ServiceNow integrations.
- Strong requirements gathering and technical documentation skills.
- Experience mentoring developers and providing technical leadership.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Financial Services Operations (FSO) solutions within ServiceNow.
- Experience supporting:
- Dispute Management
- Treasury Operations
- Commercial Operations
- Other Financial Services workflows
- Banking or financial services industry experience.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with enterprise integration and cloud technologies.
Technical Environment
Candidates should have experience working with or integrating ServiceNow with technologies such as:
- APIs and middleware platforms
- Snowflake
- Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
- Enterprise integration frameworks
- AI and automation initiatives
- ServiceNow CSM and FSO solution suites
Leadership Expectations
While this position does not include direct people management responsibilities, the selected candidate will be expected to:
- Lead through technical expertise and influence.
- Help define requirements and solution approaches.
- Coach and guide junior developers.
- Establish development standards and best practices.
- Serve as the go-to resource for ServiceNow FSO and CSM initiatives.
