Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Power Platform Developer who enjoys being hands-on while providing technical leadership and mentorship to a small development team. In this role, you will work directly alongside developers to design, build, and deploy scalable business applications that support engineering and operational needs. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise across the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Dataverse, and SharePoint, while driving best practices, reusable solutions, and application scalability. This position requires a collaborative leader who can actively develop solutions, guide team members, and partner with business stakeholders to deliver innovative and efficient technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and deploy Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, Power Pages, and enterprise-grade Power Automate workflows.
Build and maintain Dataverse solutions, data models, and application architectures that are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
Provide hands-on technical mentorship and day-to-day support to developers through collaborative coding, troubleshooting, and solution design.
Partner with business users and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Develop prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and production-ready applications using Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
Build and maintain Dataflows (Power Query) and integrations to automate data movement and streamline business processes.
Lead solution architecture efforts, including relational data modeling, Entity Relationship Diagram (ERD) design, and application structure planning.
Establish and maintain reusable components, templates, and development standards to improve team productivity and consistency.
Support application lifecycle management (ALM), release management, deployment pipelines, and version control processes.
Implement and maintain governance standards, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, and connector management best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions align with organizational goals and operational requirements.
Participate in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and ongoing maintenance of Power Platform applications.
Promote and support company safety standards, policies, and best practices to maintain a safe work environment.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem.
Strong expertise in Power Apps (Canvas Apps and Model-Driven Apps), Power Pages, Power Automate, Dataverse, and SharePoint.
Proven experience designing relational databases, Entity Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), and scalable data models.
Experience with Power Platform governance, Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies, connector management, and deployment pipelines.
Strong understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) practices within the Power Platform.
Experience collaborating with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver technical solutions.
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
Strong communication, mentoring, and team collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality development standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working within Engineering, Utilities, Energy, or Infrastructure industries.
Familiarity with SQL, SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), and database management concepts.
Experience administering and managing environments through the Power Platform Admin Center.
Experience creating development standards, governance frameworks, reusable UI/UX component libraries, or shared solution templates.
Microsoft Power Platform certifications are a plus.
