Power BI / SQL Developer

Description

We are looking for a skilled Power BI / SQL Developer to join our team on a contract basis in Sanford, Florida. This role focuses on designing and implementing effective business intelligence solutions to support operational and compliance needs within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Power BI, SQL, and data modeling, with the ability to create dashboards and reporting tools that empower the team for long-term self-sufficiency.

Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Power BI data models and structures to support business intelligence needs.
Integrate data from Pentagon and other systems to ensure a unified and real-time reporting environment.
Create dashboards and reports, including labor utilization and performance metrics.
Collaborate with stakeholders to design solutions that align with compliance and operational requirements.
Train the manager and other team members on the use of Power BI tools and reporting functionalities.
Ensure data solutions are scalable and maintainable for long-term use.
Work onsite to analyze existing systems and provide tailored solutions.
Troubleshoot and optimize data integration processes.
Document processes and best practices for future reference.
Maintain clear communication with team members and stakeholders throughout the project.

Requirements

Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including DAX and data modeling.
Strong experience with SQL for data extraction and manipulation.
Background in business intelligence technologies and data visualization.
Ability to integrate multiple systems and work with real-time data environments.
Familiarity with manufacturing operations and compliance requirements.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication abilities for stakeholder collaboration and training.
Experience in creating scalable and self-sufficient BI solutions.
