Data & Automation Analyst

Description

We are looking for a Data & Automation Analyst to support manufacturing operations through modern reporting, analytics, and automation solutions in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This Long-term Contract position will focus on turning business data into clear insights, improving decision-making, and streamlining workflows across teams. The ideal candidate will blend technical expertise with strong stakeholder engagement to build scalable dashboards, reliable data structures, and practical automation tools.

Responsibilities:
Create and enhance interactive dashboards, recurring reports, and visual analytics using Power BI and other Microsoft-based tools.
Work closely with operational and business teams to gather reporting objectives, establish meaningful performance metrics, and expand access to trusted data.
Develop automated workflows with Microsoft Power Platform solutions to reduce manual effort and improve process efficiency.
Structure, maintain, and refine queries, datasets, and data models to support accurate and scalable reporting.
Promote strong data governance by helping improve data quality, consistency, and standard reporting practices across the organization.
Contribute to enterprise reporting efforts, including reporting enhancements, data-related projects, and migration support when needed.
Provide administration and user support for Microsoft 365 applications tied to reporting, collaboration, and business productivity.
Assess current business processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and recommend technology-enabled improvements.
Prepare clear documentation, deliver end-user guidance, and encourage adoption of reporting and automation capabilities.
Explore and apply AI-driven tools and emerging technologies that strengthen reporting, productivity, and business insight.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Analytics, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related discipline, or comparable relevant experience.
At least 3 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, reporting, automation, or process optimization.
Demonstrated success building dashboards and reports in Power BI.
Strong skills in data modeling, query development, and analytical problem-solving.
Experience working with Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Power Platform technologies.
Understanding of workflow automation, reporting standards, and continuous process improvement methods.
Effective communication skills with the ability to partner with business leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
Additional exposure to SharePoint, Power Automate, Microsoft Fabric, AI-enabled business tools, or enterprise reporting environments is preferred.
