Summary

Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SQL DBA to manage, optimize, and support enterprise database environments. This role involves ensuring high availability, performance tuning, security, and reliability of SQL Server databases in production environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer, monitor, and maintain SQL Server databases across development, QA, and production environments
Perform database performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies
Ensure high availability and disaster recovery using solutions like Always On, clustering, and replication
Manage database backups, restores, and recovery strategies
Troubleshoot and resolve database issues, ensuring minimal downtime
Implement and maintain database security, access controls, and compliance standards
Collaborate with development teams to optimize database design and queries
Automate routine DBA tasks using scripts and tools
Support data migrations, upgrades, and patching activities

Required Skills:

Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (2012/2016/2019/2022)
Expertise in performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization
Hands-on experience with backup/recovery, HA/DR solutions (Always On, Log Shipping, Replication)
Proficiency in T-SQL scripting and troubleshooting
Experience with monitoring tools and database health checks
Strong understanding of database security and best practices
Experience working in production support environments
