Job Description:
  • We are seeking an experienced content design professional to shape intuitive, user-centered experiences for Generative AI assistants, conversational AI products, and AI-powered workflows. This role combines content strategy, conversational UX, prompt prototyping, and information architecture to create clear, engaging, and trustworthy AI interactions that help users explore information, complete tasks, and make complex decisions.
  • You will partner with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Science teams to design conversational experiences, refine AI system behavior, and deliver seamless product workflows from concept and research through implementation and launch.
  • Relevant experience may include AI assistants, research and knowledge tools, personalized recommendations, and productivity copilots-for example, product experiences similar to ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, Microsoft 365 Copilot, Perplexity, NotebookLM, or Notion AI. These are illustrative references, not specific product affiliations or requirements.
Responsibilities:
  • Own content strategy and delivery for a defined product scope, shaping Generative AI and conversational assistant experiences from initial requirements and prototypes through research, implementation review, and launch.
  • Design conversational and scripted interactions, including prompts, follow-up questions, user inputs, explanations, progress indicators, uncertainty, error recovery, and next steps.
  • Partner with Product Designers, Product Managers, Engineers, and Science teams to prototype prompts, refine model behavior, and improve the relevance, usability, and consistency of AI-powered experiences.
  • Develop reusable content frameworks and templates for AI-generated insights, summaries, and explanations, establishing clear rules for data inputs, assumptions, and consistency across interfaces and conversations.
  • Define information architecture, navigation, and content hierarchy across conversational interfaces and connected product workflows, helping users understand their options and move seamlessly between tasks.
  • Evaluate AI interactions through user research, testing, and system-behavior reviews; identify opportunities to improve response quality, personalization, transparency, trust, and task completion.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities and model limitations into accessible, intuitive experiences that communicate uncertainty appropriately and help users make informed decisions.

Experience:
  • Portfolio demonstrating senior-level content design judgment, strategic thinking, and meaningful contributions to shipped digital products.
  • Experience designing and launching AI-powered products, Generative AI assistants, conversational interfaces, copilots, or related digital experiences.
  • Experience in model behavior design, prompt prototyping, personalization, or AI-powered products that help users understand information and make complex decisions.
  • Strong proficiency in UX writing, content strategy, conversational design, and end-to-end user journey development.
  • Experience designing scripted and dynamic conversational flows, including clarifying questions, explanations, uncertainty, error recovery, and next steps.
  • Working knowledge of how prompts, context, structured data, retrieval, and model limitations influence AI-generated experiences.
  • Experience evaluating AI-generated responses and model behavior through user research, testing, and iterative design improvements.
  • Strong information architecture and systems thinking, with the ability to maintain consistent content and interaction patterns across multiple product surfaces, states, and connected workflows.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills, particularly with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, and Science teams.
