Summary

Collinwood is assisting our client, a growing entertainment/hospitality company, in their effort to engage an experienced Payroll Systems Administrator (with UKG). In this role you will be responsible for supporting payroll operations, HRIS administration, compliance reporting, retirement plan administration, and system configuration. This role serves as a key liaison between Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and external vendors to ensure the integrity of payroll data, regulatory compliance, system optimization, and accurate reporting.

The ideal candidate possesses strong payroll and HRIS expertise, advanced analytical skills, and experience managing complex payroll-related processes across U.S. and Canadian operations.

What you will do:

· Generate and analyze standard and ad hoc reports for Payroll, Human Resources, Benefits, Finance, and Accounting teams.

· Ensure payroll system compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations, company policies, and applicable union agreements.

· Support the setup and configuration of new locations, venues, bank accounts, and pay groups within payroll and HR systems.

· Manage system integrations between payroll, HR, timekeeping, and related platforms, ensuring data integrity and successful processing.

· Assist with system upgrades, testing, implementation activities, and ongoing maintenance.

· Troubleshoot system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate resolutions with internal stakeholders and external vendors.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support payroll operations and HR technology initiatives.

· Audit and maintain employee retirement plan eligibility, contributions, and related updates.

· Manage payroll tax registrations and coordinate resolution of payroll tax notices with third-party tax preparers and applicable tax agencies

· Support year-end payroll processing activities, including system validation, testing, and reconciliation.

What we need from you:

· Experience working with HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems, preferably UKG (UltiPro) and Workday.

· Advanced Microsoft Excel and data analysis skills

· Experience with UKG People Analytics, Cognos Reporting, or similar reporting platforms.

· Knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.

· Experience supporting system integrations, implementations, or upgrades preferred.

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

· Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
