About the team and the role: eBay, Inc. seeks Data Science - Analyst 5 in San Jose, CA
What you will accomplish: Job Duties: Provide analytics and strategic insights as well as thought leadership to help us with the Integration Roadmap on collectibles. Build a close partnership with product managers, business owners, and the engineering team across the collectibles organization to identify and explore opportunities for impactful analytics to help craft the product roadmap. Work on an integration plan for analytics KPI's migration, definition, and data tables sources in the eBay ecosystem for one of the acquisitions eBay has made, alongside platform migration from the acquired company to eBay. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
What you will bring:Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering (any), or a closely related field, plus six years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
- Six (6) years of experience creating business intelligence tools, including dashboards and presentations using SQL, Python, and Tableau.
- Five (5) years of experience performing statistical modelling with R/Python programming for language data manipulation, missing value treatment, outlier detection, anomaly detection, data mining, data modeling, and validation.
- Four (4) years of experience building financial models using tools: Excel, SQL, and Tableau.
- Four (4) years of experience incorporating analytics insights and approaches into finance processes (forecasting, planning, media-mix), and the experimentation platform team to design and execute A/B test to measure impact of launches/changes.
- Two (2) years of experience managing and leading a team, including conducting prioritization meetings, delegating work, reviewing analysis, and identifying process issues.
- Two (2) years of experience identifying areas for continuous improvement, including creation/modification of internal processes.
- Two (2) years of experience using tools (Jupyter Notebooks, Python, and Power Query) to automate reports, setting up alerts to identify process and system issues, and identifying new tools and service for adoption.
- Two (2) years of experience in using A/B test to set up, conduct, analyze, and deep dive into A/B tests and provide recommendations on improving product features.
Salary: $239,730.00-252,000.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Additional DetailsBase pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience.
