Description
We are looking for a skilled Scrum Master to support Agile teams within a manufacturing environment in Bayport, Minnesota. This Long-term Contract opportunity focuses on enabling efficient product delivery, strengthening Scrum practices, and helping teams work through obstacles with clarity and accountability. The ideal candidate will bring strong coaching skills, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to guide continuous improvement across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities:
Lead core Scrum events such as sprint planning sessions, daily team syncs, sprint reviews, and retrospectives to keep delivery work organized and productive.
Mentor team members on Agile values and Scrum methods, helping build consistent practices and stronger team ownership.
Identify obstacles affecting progress and work with the team and stakeholders to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
Partner with Product Owners to keep backlog items refined, prioritized, and ready for upcoming sprint work.
Shield the team from unnecessary interruptions and manage risks related to changing priorities or expanding scope.
Use Agile performance measures, including burndown trends and team velocity, to share progress and support informed planning.
Encourage regular reflection on team processes and turn feedback into practical improvements that enhance delivery.
Coordinate with business partners and leadership to ensure team objectives remain aligned with broader organizational goals.
Support Agile adoption across multiple teams when needed by promoting consistent frameworks and collaboration standards.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline, or comparable relevant experience.
Demonstrated experience serving as a Scrum Master or Agile Coach in a team-based delivery environment.
Strong working knowledge of Agile methodologies, with particular depth in Scrum principles and execution.
Experience supporting cross-functional teams composed of technical and business contributors.
Excellent communication and facilitation abilities with the confidence to guide discussions and drive alignment.
Proven ability to address team conflicts, remove barriers, and foster a collaborative working environment.
Familiarity with Agile delivery tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Trello.
Certified Scrum Master credential or similar Scrum certification is preferred.
