Job Description

We are seeking a Hardware Engineer to join our dynamic team supporting Meta's hardware development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in electronic hardware design, bring-up, and validation and a proven ability to execute structured test plans, document results, and partner cross-functionally to meet program milestones. This is a time-bound engagement intended to address specific project needs and is not a full-time role.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the design, bring-up, and validation of electronic hardware including boards, subsystems, and modules from concept through verification.

  • Develop and execute test plans, perform bench testing, debug, and conduct root-cause analysis of hardware issues.

  • Document designs, requirements, validation results, and engineering changes with clarity and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality partners to support program milestones and deliverables.

  • Assist with component selection, schematic and layout reviews, and design-for-test and manufacturability considerations.

  • Provide regular status updates on assigned deliverables and risks, and support issue tracking and resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Hands-on experience with hardware development and lab-based debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, and power supplies.

  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and support board or system bring-up and validation.

  • Experience developing test procedures and documenting results in a structured, reproducible manner.

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with design-for-test and design-for-manufacturability reviews.

  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, and quality teams.
