Hardware Engineer II
Seeking a Hardware Engineer to support hardware development initiatives. In this role, you will contribute to the design, validation, and documentation of hardware components and systems, partnering closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality results within defined timelines.
Responsibilities
- Support the design, bring-up, and validation of electronic hardware (e.g., boards, subsystems, modules) from concept through verification.
- Develop and execute test plans; perform bench testing, debug, and root-cause analysis of hardware issues.
- Document designs, requirements, validation results, and engineering changes clearly and accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional partners (e.g., electrical, mechanical, firmware, manufacturing, quality) to support program milestones and deliverables.
- Assist with component selection, schematic/layout reviews, and design-for-test/manufacturability considerations as needed.
- Provide regular status updates on assigned deliverables and risks, and support issue tracking and resolution.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Hands-on experience with hardware development and lab-based debugging (e.g., use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies).
- Experience reading/interpreting schematics and supporting board/system bring-up and validation.
- Experience developing test procedures and documenting results in a structured, reproducible way.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across multiple disciplines in a fast-paced environment.
Surrounding team & key projects: Working on the wearable s AR team with Lab access.
- Design, build, and validate electronic hardware (boards/modules) end-to-end including test development, debugging, root-cause analysis, and documentation.
- Work cross-functionally with electrical, mechanical, firmware, and manufacturing teams to hit program milestones. Support component selection, design reviews (schematic/layout/DFT/DFM), and provide ongoing status updates and risk tracking.
Must-Have Skills
- Python debugging + Hands-on experience with hardware development and lab-based debugging (e.g., use of oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, DMMs, power supplies).
- Experience developing test procedures and documenting results in a structured, reproducible way.
- Experience reading/interpreting schematics and supporting board/system bring-up and validation.
