Senior Oracle Cloud Database Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Database Engineer in Mesa, AZ.

Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Oracle Cloud Database Engineer to support and optimize enterprise Oracle database environments across both on-prem and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). This role focuses on database architecture, cloud migrations, performance tuning, automation, high availability, security, and disaster recovery.

Key Responsibilities:
* Design, implement, and maintain Oracle databases in OCI and hybrid environments
* Support Oracle Autonomous Database, Exadata, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, RAC, and ASM technologies
* Lead cloud migration initiatives from on-prem Oracle environments to OCI
* Optimize database performance, reliability, and security
* Manage backups, recovery, monitoring, patching, and upgrades
* Automate administrative tasks using Terraform, SQL, PL/SQL, Python, Bash, or PowerShell
* Troubleshoot complex production issues and support mission-critical applications

REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of Oracle Database Administration experience
* 3+ years of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) experience
* Experience supporting large-scale enterprise database environments
* Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform preferred)
* Strong expertise with RAC, ASM, Exadata, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and performance tuning
* Strong Linux administration and scripting skills
* Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and problem-solving abilities

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
