We are seeking a Systems Administrator / Systems Engineer for a contract onsite role in Long Beach, California. This position supports enterprise infrastructure with a strong focus on system and application engineering, Active Directory administration, and privileged access management. The role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable Windows and Linux environments while partnering with security teams to address vulnerabilities identified through penetration testing and security assessments. This individual will also help strengthen identity and access controls, improve system hardening, and support ongoing infrastructure stability and performance.

Key Responsibilities
Administer and maintain Active Directory, including users, groups, GPOs, and access controls.
Manage administrative accounts, privileged credentials, and access permissions across enterprise systems.
Engineer, deploy, and support Windows/Linux server environments and enterprise applications.
Implement least privilege access models and support identity and access management practices.
Partner with security teams to remediate vulnerabilities and penetration testing findings.
Maintain system security through patching, configuration management, and hardening.
Automate system administration tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot infrastructure issues, and maintain documentation.
Qualifications
Required:
5+ years of experience in systems administration or systems engineering.
Strong experience with Active Directory, GPO management, and identity/access administration.
Experience managing privileged accounts and credential security.
Familiarity with penetration testing remediation, vulnerability management, and security best practices.
Experience with Windows Server environments and enterprise infrastructure.

Additional Details
The base range for this contract position is $65 - $75 / per hour, depending on experience. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires of this position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records will be considered.
