About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Business Systems Consultant to support the Perimeter Research & Application Penetration Testing (PRAPT) team within Cybersecurity. This role serves as a critical coordination point for application security assessment activities, ensuring successful execution of penetration testing engagements across the full assessment lifecycle.

The ideal candidate will partner with application teams, security testers, Application Security Champions, and technology stakeholders to coordinate security assessments, manage remediation activities, monitor program metrics, and drive effective communication across multiple concurrent projects. Success in this role requires strong program coordination, stakeholder management, Agile delivery experience, and the ability to operate within a fast-paced cybersecurity environment.
What You'll Do
Application Security Assessment Coordination
  • Manage and coordinate application security assessments through the complete assessment lifecycle, including intake, scoping, readiness validation, testing, findings review, remediation, retesting, and closure.
  • Coordinate collection of architecture diagrams, business context, technical documentation, and other required assessment artifacts.
  • Validate assessment readiness by ensuring test environments, access requirements, test accounts, documentation, and designated points of contact are available before assessment execution.
  • Monitor assessment progress, track milestones, identify risks, and communicate status updates to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Facilitate communication between application teams, penetration testers, Application Security Champions, technology partners, and cybersecurity teams.
  • Coordinate responses to tester inquiries and organize working sessions to resolve issues impacting assessment timelines.
Findings Management & Remediation Tracking
  • Support findings review and disposition activities by coordinating stakeholder feedback, business context, and impact assessments.
  • Facilitate post-assessment debrief sessions to communicate results, address questions, and support remediation planning.
  • Track remediation activities, monitor target completion dates, and escalate overdue security findings when necessary.
  • Coordinate retesting activities through ServiceNow AVR and AI-driven application penetration testing processes.
  • Verify remediation completion and ensure closure documentation satisfies governance and compliance requirements.
Governance, Reporting & Metrics
  • Track assessment coverage, onboarding metrics, remediation trends, retesting activities, and overall program effectiveness.
  • Develop operational dashboards, status reports, executive summaries, and governance reporting materials.
  • Create actionable reporting for business, cybersecurity, governance, and leadership stakeholders.
  • Provide insights into assessment performance, risk trends, compliance objectives, and program health.
Agile Delivery & Operational Support
  • Manage Agile work intake, backlog prioritization, workflow management, and delivery forecasting.
  • Support capacity planning, workload balancing, and resource allocation efforts.
  • Organize and facilitate meetings related to assessment readiness, findings reviews, remediation follow-ups, program governance, and status reporting.
  • Identify and resolve onboarding issues, access challenges, documentation gaps, scope changes, and other operational blockers.
Required Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in technology, cybersecurity, risk management, application delivery, program coordination, or related disciplines.
  • Experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives involving assessment intake, scheduling, readiness validation, stakeholder communications, status tracking, and issue resolution.
  • Experience partnering with application teams, technology organizations, or security groups to collect documentation, validate access requirements, and resolve onboarding challenges.
  • Experience tracking milestones, dependencies, risks, scope changes, remediation activities, and closure requirements using workflow, project management, or service management tools.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining accuracy and delivery commitments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Application Security, Cybersecurity Operations, Security Service Delivery, Risk Management, or AppSec Program Management.
  • Understanding of the application security assessment lifecycle, including:
    • Intake and Scoping
    • Assessment Readiness
    • Penetration Testing
    • Findings Review
    • Remediation Management
    • Retesting

  • Working knowledge of vulnerability management, risk assessment, and compliance reporting processes.
  • Experience using:

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends, assess program performance, and develop meaningful metrics.
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations, governance reporting, status communications, and operational documentation.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies, backlog management, and capacity planning.
Key Success Factors
  • Exceptional coordination and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to drive execution across multiple concurrent security assessments.
  • Strong attention to detail and operational discipline.
