Job Title: Microsoft 365 Security Engineer

Location- Remote

Job Summary

We are seeking a Microsoft 365 Security Engineer to design, implement, and manage security controls across the Microsoft 365 ecosystem. This role focuses on protecting enterprise data, identities, and collaboration platforms by leveraging Microsoft security tools and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and manage security solutions across Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive)
• Configure and maintain identity and access management using Azure Active Directory (Entra ID)
• Deploy and manage Microsoft Defender security solutions (Defender for Office 365, Endpoint, Identity, Cloud Apps)
• Monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents and alerts
• Configure data protection policies including DLP, sensitivity labels, and retention policies
• Implement Conditional Access and Zero Trust security models
• Perform security assessments, audits, and compliance checks
• Collaborate with IT and security teams to improve overall security posture
• Maintain documentation and provide user awareness on security best practices

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 4–7 years of experience in Microsoft 365 or cloud security roles
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 Security & Compliance Center
• Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), IAM, and Conditional Access
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender suite
• Understanding of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, etc.)
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-500, SC-200, SC-300)
• Experience with SIEM tools (Microsoft Sentinel or similar)
• Knowledge of endpoint security and mobile device management (Intune)
• Familiarity with Zero Trust architecture
• Experience in incident response and threat hunting
