Senior Embedded Software Engineer, C#
Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to support the development and integration of software for a complex defense system. This position will focus on object-oriented and embedded software development within a Windows-based environment.

The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team developing, testing, and integrating software that interfaces with complex hardware systems.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, integrate, and test object-oriented software using C#
Develop software for embedded and hardware-integrated applications
Develop and maintain unit tests using NUnit and Moq
Support software integration, troubleshooting, and defect resolution
Participate in Agile software development activities
Collaborate with systems, software, hardware, and test engineering teams
Support system-level integration and verification activities
Develop and maintain technical documentation
Support occasional travel for integration, testing, or other program needs

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 8+ years of related experience; Master's degree with 6+ years; or PhD with 4+ years
Extensive experience developing object-oriented software using C#
Extensive experience with embedded software development
Experience developing software in a Windows environment
Experience using NUnit
Experience using Moq
Knowledge of SysUML
Familiarity with Atlassian tools and Agile software development practices
Ability to travel approximately 10%
Active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance required

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
Previous experience supporting missile defense or other complex defense systems
Security+ certification
Active DoD Top Secret security clearance
