Description

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a team focused on improving internal technology solutions, strengthening data connectivity, and refining business processes across a largely custom software environment. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is based in Reading, Pennsylvania, and will partner closely with business stakeholders across North America as well as a development team to turn operational needs into well-defined solutions. The role is ideal for someone who can quickly understand new systems, balance multiple initiatives, and communicate clearly in a dynamic setting.

Responsibilities:
Partner with business teams to uncover needs, define objectives, and translate requests into detailed functional and technical requirements.
Contribute to data integration efforts by helping organize, analyze, and support the movement of commercial and customer information between systems.
Plan and facilitate user acceptance testing by preparing test scenarios, tracking defects, and confirming that delivered solutions align with expected outcomes.
Monitor project activity by coordinating priorities, maintaining timelines, and keeping stakeholders informed on progress and next steps.
Produce clear internal documentation, including intranet content and end-user guides, to encourage effective use of company applications.
Attend cross-functional meetings to build knowledge of internal platforms and provide day-to-day support for business applications.
Work with technical teams to clarify business intent, answer requirement questions, and help move enhancements through delivery.
Help identify process improvement opportunities that increase efficiency and support stronger application adoption across the organization.

Requirements

Detail-oriented experience in business analysis, requirements definition, and support of technology-focused initiatives.
Demonstrated ability to gather requirements and convert business needs into structured documentation and actionable deliverables.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business users and technical teams.
Solid organizational and problem-solving abilities, including the capacity to manage several priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and aptitude to learn custom systems and become effective in unfamiliar application landscapes.
Experience with Microsoft SQL or database concepts is preferred.
Familiarity with APIs, data integration practices, or related technical interfaces is an advantage.
Background in technical requirements gathering and application support is highly valued.
