Genesis10 is currently seeking a Business Operational Readiness Analyst - Underwriting for an onsite position with a Major Financial Institution located in McLean, VA. This is a 12 month contract opportunity.The Business Operational Readiness Analyst Underwriting is responsible for ensuring the underwriting organization is prepared to successfully adopt new business capabilities, technology platforms, process improvements, and operational changes. This role serves as the central coordinator across business, operations, technology, risk, compliance, and support functions to drive readiness activities from planning through deployment and stabilization. The individual operates as a strategic partner to technology and underwriting leadership while remaining hands-on in execution and coordination.
Responsibilities:- Lead operational readiness efforts for underwriting transformation initiatives
- Develop readiness plans, milestones, dependencies, and success criteria
- Coordinate readiness activities across business, technology, risk, finance, and downstream stakeholders
- Facilitate go-live readiness assessments, deployment approvals, and go/no-go decision forums
- Track readiness risks, issues, and mitigation plans
- Support the assessment of impacts of new capabilities on underwriting processes and operations
- Coordinate development of future-state workflows, process documentation, and operating procedures
- Partner with stakeholders to identify training and communication requirements and coordinate rollout activities
- Coordinate business participation in user acceptance testing, pilot testing, and parallel processing activities
- Partner with Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams to evaluate impacts to business controls
- Develop readiness metrics, dashboards, and executive reporting
- Present updates and recommendations to business and technology leadership
Requirements:- 2-4 years of experience in operations, business transformation, change management, program delivery, or operational readiness
- Strong knowledge of multifamily or financial services processes, controls, and operational workflows
- Experience supporting large-scale business or technology transformation initiatives
- Ability to influence stakeholders without direct authority
- Strong facilitation, communication, and executive presentation skills
- Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and complex dependencies
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint
Desired skills:- Experience supporting platform modernization, workflow automation, or digital transformation initiatives
- Knowledge of operational risk, governance, compliance, and SOX-related processes
- Experience with change management and business adoption methodologies
- Familiarity with Agile delivery models and product-based organizations
