Data Center Commissioning Specialist - Mechanical

Location: Arlington, VA Salary: $70.00 USD Hourly - $78.00 USD Hourly Description: Our client is currently seeking a Data Center Commissioning Specialist - Mechanical

Qualifications:

As a Commissioning Specialist on our team, you will participate in onsite activities to support Data Center Commissioning projects. You will have the opportunity to lead and perform all mechanical commissioning related activities to include testing (QA/QC, Functional Performance) and equipment and systems start-up, resulting in a safe and functional environment that meets established design requirements and stakeholder expectations. Candidate will engage in owner's L4-L5 Data Center commissioning while overseeing and supporting the L0-L3 commissioning activities. You will have the responsibility of working directly with Jacobs clients, project stakeholders, and contractors to achieve the best possible outcome for the owner/client with a focus on operational performance and efficiency.

Here's What You'll Need:

Bachelor's degree in related discipline or equivalent years of experience
10+ years of progressive experience as a mechanical commissioning specialist in activities such as: Utility infrastructure, life safety, mechanical systems, plumbing systems, building/facility systems/components, building automation systems/controls and facility O&M
2-3 years of focused experience as a mechanical commissioning specialist on documenting L2/L3 activities and leading L4/L5 testing for Data Center commissioning
Working knowledge ASHRAE, NFPA and Tab mechanical testing and code requirements
Understanding of the Construction process

Ability to travel up to 95%

Responsibilities:

Ideally, You'll Also Have:
The candidate will reside in the Washington DC or Northern Va Metro area
Industry recognized commissioning certification
IR thermography Level 1 or Level 2 certification
AWS or similar L4 lead certification
NFPA 70E certification
OSHA 10 (minimum), OSHA 30 (preferred)
Experience with IR thermography
