Duration: 6-12+ months

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in Hardware Engineering or Chip Design to lead cross-functional semiconductor development programs. The ideal candidate will have experience managing complex ASIC/SoC, silicon, FPGA, or hardware product development projects within the semiconductor industry. This role requires strong technical program management skills, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to drive execution across engineering, product, and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end hardware engineering or chip design projects from planning through execution, validation, and delivery.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams including ASIC/SoC design, verification, validation, firmware, physical design, DFT, packaging, and manufacturing teams.
  • Drive project schedules, milestones, resource planning, risk management, and issue resolution.
  • Track program deliverables and ensure alignment with business goals, technical requirements, and customer expectations.
  • Lead project reviews, status meetings, and executive reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering leadership, product management, and external vendors/partners.
  • Ensure adherence to semiconductor development lifecycle processes and quality standards.
  • Identify project risks and dependencies proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Support silicon bring-up, validation, tape-out schedules, and production readiness activities.
  • Facilitate communication between global engineering teams across multiple time zones.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years of project/program management experience in hardware engineering, chip design, or semiconductor product development.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor development lifecycle including ASIC, SoC, FPGA, or silicon product development.
  • Experience managing complex engineering programs in semiconductor environments.
  • Strong knowledge of hardware development methodologies, design verification, validation, and release processes.
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar tools.
