We are seeking a versatile Card Services & Portfolio Analyst to provide end-to-end analytical, operational, and strategic support for our credit card portfolio and new card initiatives. This high-impact role blends deep technical analytical capabilities-such as leveraging AI tools to build forecasting models and streamlining reporting-with hands-on business operations, product execution, and vendor partner collaboration (e.g., Visa, card processors). As a trusted advisor, you will drive portfolio insights, optimize operational workflows, evaluate prospective platform partners, and translate complex data into practical strategies that maximize card program performance.
Key Responsibilities
Analytics, Modeling & Reporting (Technical & Strategic)
Rewards & Performance Analytics: Support the rollout, tracking, and ad-hoc analysis of new card rewards programs to evaluate engagement and financial impact.
Reporting Optimization: Redesign, streamline, and automate the Credit Card (CC) Scorecard and existing portfolio reports into concise, actionable formats.
AI-Driven Modeling: Develop and refine predictive forecasting and budgeting models leveraging AI-enabled productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, Claude Code).
Card Operations, Product Execution & Process Improvement
Brand & Statement Collateral: Coordinate with Visa and internal teams to update credit card plastic designs, statement layouts, and credit union branding assets.
Process Mapping & Optimization: Document current credit card preapproval workflows, collaborate with stakeholders to identify operational efficiencies, and integrate improvements.
Training & Enablement: Develop user training guides for Copilot within Card Services and identify opportunities for ongoing process enhancements.
Product Enhancements: Research Visa Signature benefits, conduct comprehensive cost-benefit analyses, and deliver data-backed recommendations for product upgrades.
Vendor Management & RFPs
Platform & Processor Evaluation: Assist with vendor evaluation, requirements gathering, and analysis for upcoming Card Processor and Rewards Platform RFPs.

Develop and maintain reporting: Build, refine, and streamline ongoing business reports, transforming lengthy, complex reporting processes into concise, automated, or simplified visual formats.
Translate data into strategic insights: Analyze performance drivers, identify key trends, and interpret quantitative results to deliver practical, data-informed business recommendations and thought partnership.
Serve as a trusted subject matter expert: Respond to ad-hoc business questions, partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide clear answers regarding portfolio health and operations.
Leverage modern tools and core systems: Utilize advanced Excel skills alongside payments and card platforms (e.g., DataChoice, First Data, Symitar) to manipulate data, with potential use of AI productivity and coding tools (e.g., Copilot, Claude Code) to accelerate workflow efficiency.
Drive process optimization: Collaborate independently with stakeholders to prioritize reporting needs, eliminate redundancies in current workflows, and support portfolio optimization initiatives.
qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, data analysis, reporting, card services, card operations, or a related field
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Demonstrated experience developing, refining, and maintaining business reports
- Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret results and identify meaningful business implications
- Strong business judgment and the ability to translate data into practical, data- informed recommendations and to provide thought partnership
- Knowledge of payments, card services, or card portfolio management
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and respond to ongoing business questions
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to meet deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with business stakeholders and cross-functional partners
Strongly Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with DataChoice, First Data, Symitar
- Experience using Microsoft Copilot or similar AI-enabled productivity tools
Preferred Qualifications
- Exposure to AI coding or development-assistance tools (e.g., Claude Code)
- Experience simplifying or automating recurring reporting processes
- Experience supporting a card-product launch or portfolio optimization initiative
Analytical Skills:
Ability to analyze quantitative information, identify trends and performance drivers, interpret results, and communicate findings through reports, presentations, and business recommendations.
