Job Description

We are seeking a skilled QA Engineer to join our team supporting a high-impact healthcare technology initiative for Centene. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in both manual and automation testing, with a focus on delivering high-quality enterprise applications in an Agile environment.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as a QA Engineer or Software Test Engineer.
• Strong experience in Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
• Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, or Playwright.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
• Experience with API testing using Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, and web services.
• Experience writing and executing test cases, test plans, and test scenarios.
• Hands-on experience with defect tracking tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or ALM.
• Experience with SQL for backend/database validation.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Healthcare domain experience is highly preferred.
• Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter or LoadRunner is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is an advantage.
• Knowledge of BDD frameworks such as Cucumber is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, execute, and maintain manual and automated test cases.
• Validate web applications, APIs, and backend systems for functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Identify, document, and track software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand business requirements.
• Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
• Perform regression, integration, smoke, sanity, and user acceptance testing.
• Validate data integrity through SQL queries and database testing.
• Support CI/CD processes by integrating automated test suites.
• Ensure software releases meet quality standards before deployment.
• Prepare detailed test reports and provide quality metrics to stakeholders.
