Location: Jersey City, NJ
Salary: $250,000.00 USD Annually - $300,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Reporting directly to the CTO for North America, you will lead a high-impact team focused on modernizing and digitizing our Commercial Insurance lines. This role partners closely with the Commercial Insurance CIO and business leaders to deliver strategic technology solutions that are practical, scalable, and aligned with emerging trends such as Generative AI.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of senior architects and engineers to design and deliver scalable technology solutions.
  • Collaborate with the CIO of Commercial Insurance to develop and maintain technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure engineering execution aligns with architectural designs and industry best practices.
  • Advance automation capabilities, including traditional tools and GenAI-assisted solutions.
  • Assess and integrate existing systems to enable incremental transformation with minimal disruption.
  • Actively remove technical blockers and promote agile, collaborative ways of working.
  • Serve as a role model for technical leadership and innovation.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in software development or application architecture.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership role managing teams and reporting to senior executives.
  • 5+ years of experience in system or data integration.
  • 3+ years of experience in API design and data/object modeling.
  • Hands-on coding experience in modern languages (e.g., Java, C#, JavaScript, Python, C/C++).
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical or related field.
  • Experience in Insurance or Financial Services is a plus.
