Looking for someone that can support cybersecurity projects. From a personality perspective, must have experience navigating ambiguity and operating independently.
Current team is experiencing a "perfect storm" of increased project demand and reduced capacity. Team currently consists of 3, with 2 going out on maternity and medical leave.
Retail background would be a huge plus for this.

Looking for mid level experience 3-5 years, but up to 10 years is fine.

Role Summary
Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead delivery of high-priority Cybersecurity and IT transformation initiatives. This role owns end-to-end delivery of assigned cybersecurity workstreams, partnering with senior IT leadership to drive execution, manage risk, and ensure outcomes are delivered on time and within scope. The Project Manager will translate strategic objectives into executable plans, align cross-functional teams, and maintain accountability across stakeholders. This is a hands-on delivery leadership role requiring strong ownership, decision-making, and the ability to drive complex programs in a fast-paced, evolving environment.The Project Manager will support a portfolio of cybersecurity initiatives including Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Data Protection, Cloud Center of Excellence (CCOE), Vulnerability Management, Third-Party Risk Management, and Secure Remote Access programs.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Delivery Ownership
Define and manage detailed project plans, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Drive execution against critical path and ensure accountability across cross-functional teams.
Manage scope, schedule, and dependencies to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
Coordinate and track multiple cybersecurity workstreams and strategic transformation initiatives
Lead coordination and tracking of Business Continuity planning activities, tabletop exercises, SOP development, and Disaster Recovery gap remediation efforts.
Manage Identity & Access Management workstreams, including SailPoint integrations for SOX applications, certification automation, SSO integrations, SailPoint stabilization efforts, disaster recovery setup, and operational blueprint development.
Coordinate Data Protection initiatives, including activities related to Microsoft Copilot rollout and governance.
Support Cloud Center of Excellence initiatives, including secure automation, Terraform template implementation, naming standards, policy-as-code deployment, GitHub tagging standards, network guardrails, multicloud standardization, and audit remediation controls.
Track and drive delivery across Vulnerability Management, Third-Party Risk Management, and Secure Remote Access programs.
Identify, assess, and actively manage risks, issues, and dependencies.
Drive mitigation strategies and escalate appropriately to maintain timeline integrity.
Resolve cross-functional conflicts impacting delivery.
Monitor cybersecurity program risks and ensure remediation activities remain on track.
Lead governance processes including Architecture Review Board, PMO reviews, and funding approvals.
Ensure all deliverables meet internal standards, security requirements, compliance obligations, and approval requirements.
Drive stage-gate processes and ensure readiness for key decision points.
Support audit, regulatory, and risk management reporting requirements.
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as the primary point of accountability for project communication and execution status.
Deliver clear, concise updates to senior IT leadership and business stakeholders.
Align technical and non-technical teams on priorities, timelines, and deliverables.
Facilitate collaboration across cybersecurity, infrastructure, engineering, architecture, and business teams.
Manage vendor relationships, deliverables, and contractual milestones.
Oversee budget tracking, forecasting, and financial performance of projects.
Ensure alignment between vendor delivery and internal program objectives.
Lead coordination across IT, Security, Finance, Architecture, Risk, Compliance, and business teams.
Drive alignment and execution across multiple parallel workstreams.
Influence without authority to ensure progress and accountability.
Qualifications
5+ years of Project Management experience.
Prior experience managing cybersecurity projects, including disaster recovery initiatives, business continuity programs, identity and access management, security remediation efforts, or infrastructure transformation projects.
Strong experience managing cross-functional, multi-workstream initiatives.
Deep understanding of project governance, risk management, and delivery frameworks.
Experience supporting cybersecurity, cloud, infrastructure, or compliance-focused programs.
Familiarity with ServiceNow Portfolio Management preferred.
Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project tracking tool experience preferred.
Experience managing budgets, vendors, and complex dependencies.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
