Our client, a leader in their industry is seeking a Sales Commission Analyst for a 3-month contract opportunity supporting a software sales division. This role is ideal for a highly analytical, Excel-savvy professional who enjoys working with large datasets, investigating discrepancies, and partnering with sales leadership and finance to ensure accurate commission payouts and reporting.
This position is best suited for someone with a data analyst mindset who can work independently, manage tight deadlines, and translate data into clear, actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities:- Calculate and validate sales commissions for the software division, ensuring timely and accurate payout processing
- Investigate and resolve commission anomalies by partnering with sales reps, managers, and internal stakeholders
- Support monthly and quarterly management reporting for the sales organization
- Assist with expense tracking, accruals, and budget performance reporting in partnership with finance
- Run and maintain billing and reporting outputs for software product teams
- Deliver ad hoc analysis, reporting, and special projects as needed
- Identify opportunities to streamline and automate recurring processes, ideally through advanced Excel or VBA
Must Have Experience/Skills:- 2+ Years of Advanced Microsoft Excel and Data Analysis Experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify data mismatches and anomalies
- Experience supporting (one of) commission processing, sales reporting, forecasting, or financial analysis
