Database Engineer (PostgreSQL)

Owns PostgreSQL design, performance, and reliability for metadata-driven backend services. Leads schema design and migrations, query optimization, indexing, and ORM tuning (e.g., Prisma/Sequelize/TypeORM), while enforcing data integrity, versioning, and backward compatibility. Troubleshoots production performance issues and supports Node.js microservices, leveraging AI-assisted tools for query analysis and optimization as needed.

Builds and executes automated tests for APIs and backend services using frameworks such as pytest, Postman, and REST-assured. Develops regression, contract, and integration test suites for NBA backend workflows and integrates them into CI/CD to protect release quality and stability. Collaborates with engineering teams to validate decision logic, triage defects, and continuously improve platform reliability.
