Title: Cloud Database Architect
Type: 6-Month Contract
Location: Fully Remote
Travel: Occasional (up to 25%)
Key Focus Areas
Technical leadership across OCI and Google Cloud Platform
Oversight of enterprise-scale relational, cloud-native, NoSQL, and in-memory databases
Stabilizing and optimizing production environments
Leading incident response, RCA, and remediation
Driving automation, monitoring, runbooks, and infrastructure-as-code initiatives
Required Experience 10+ years in Infrastructure & Database Engineering 3+ years in a leadership or manager-level role Strong hands-on experience with OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) and Google Cloud Platform Deep knowledge of both: o Firestore (collections, sub-collections, security rules) o Redis (data types, persistence, sentinel/cluster modes) Experience with on-prem to cloud database migrations Proficiency with CI/CD, monitoring, and IaC
Nice to Have (not required)
Experience leading database modernization initiatives
DevOps / SRE operating model familiarity
Master's degree
