Job Summary:
The Senior QA Test Lead plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the organization s software applications. This position is responsible for coordinating both manual and automated testing, developing comprehensive test plans, and leading defect tracking efforts. The Sr. QA Test Lead collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain high-quality standards, supports process improvements, and contributes to successful project delivery across multiple software initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate comprehensive manual and automated testing to ensure software quality and functionality.
Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts tailored to production management solutions.
Track and document defects using Jira or similar tools, ensuring timely resolution and communication with relevant teams.
Collaborate with project managers, product management, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and design test strategies.
Organize and implement automated testing using relevant technologies.
Ensure software meets all quality standards and project requirements prior to release.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development/Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in software testing and testing coordination.
Experience with automated testing tools.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
Experience in Steel/Metals or related industries preferred.
Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Special Requirements:
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for projects and meetings.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong understanding of software testing principles and best practices.
Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities.
Excellent coordination and communication skills to interact with project managers and team members.
Proficiency in test management and defect tracking tools, including Jira.
Detail-oriented with strong time management and organizational skills.
Effective team player with customer-facing professionalism.
