RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Palantir Engineering Lead for a remote or onsite role in Lisle, IL. This is a full-time position.
Overview:
A large enterprise environment is investing in a modern, data-driven ecosystem powered by Palantir Foundry to support more proactive and intelligent operations. This role will be a key technical lead, responsible for shaping overall platform architecture, influencing engineering direction, and driving scalable solution development. You will sit within a focused engineering group (~20 people) and collaborate across multiple teams building applications on Foundry.
Core Responsibilities:
* Own and evolve architecture across the Palantir Foundry landscape
* Lead development of scalable, durable, and high-performing platform solutions
* Set technical direction and establish engineering best practices across teams
* Design and deliver integrated tools that support operational workflows, customer engagement, and planning activities
* Oversee development efforts leveraging Foundry, Marketplace, OSDK, and custom-built solutions
* Drive adoption of AI capabilities within Foundry, including AIP and LLM integrations
* Work closely with product, design, and engineering leadership to align technical efforts with business needs
* Act as a mentor and technical leader for the broader engineering team
REQUIREMENTS:
*Bachelor's degree plus ~9+ years in IT/architecture (with leadership experience), or Master's degree plus ~5+ years, or ~12+ years of relevant experience overall
* Prior experience in a lead or principal capacity
* Strong hands-on experience with Palantir Foundry, especially in architecting and scaling enterprise solutions
* Familiarity with Marketplace, OSDK, and building complex applications within the Foundry ecosystem
* Experience leading architecture and technical strategy across multiple teams or initiatives
* Background in building enterprise-grade or large-scale platforms
* Exposure to AI/ML use cases, particularly around LLMs and Foundry AIP
* Ability to lead through influence and navigate complex, evolving environments
* Self-starter mentality with a high level of ownership
* Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
Nice to Have:
* Experience leading engineering teams or operating as a lead/principal engineer
* Background in distributed systems or full-stack development
* Experience supporting end-to-end business platform builds
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
