Pay Range: $55 - $60/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise-grade software solutions using Java and Spring Boot.
- Build RESTful APIs and microservices that automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, lifecycle management, and operational workflows.
- Develop platform automation capabilities for compute, storage, networking, virtualization, and HCI services.
- Engineer infrastructure-as-code and API-driven automation frameworks that enable standardized platform deployments.
- Integrate automation solutions into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery and infrastructure lifecycle management.
- Collaborate with infrastructure architects, virtualization engineers, and cloud platform teams to define automation requirements and implementation patterns.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools, including GitHub Copilot, to accelerate software delivery while maintaining engineering quality and governance standards.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong emphasis on backend or platform engineering.
- Expert-level proficiency in Java and modern software engineering practices.
- Hands-on experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Demonstrated experience developing automation solutions for infrastructure, private cloud, virtualization, storage, networking, or platform engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure-as-code and API-driven automation principles.
- Proficiency with Linux operating systems and scripting languages for automation and troubleshooting.
- Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
