Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced engineering professional to support the verification, startup, and operational readiness of complex building systems across a diverse portfolio of construction and facility improvement projects. This opportunity offers a blend of office-based planning and on-site technical execution, ensuring building infrastructure performs safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project objectives.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor''''''''s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Engineering, Building Sciences, or a comparable technical field. Equivalent professional experience will also be considered.

Five or more years of experience supporting building systems commissioning, facility startup, construction quality verification, or related engineering functions.

Demonstrated knowledge of multiple building disciplines, including HVAC, plumbing, utility distribution, electrical support systems, building automation, instrumentation, and facility maintenance practices.

Familiarity with commissioning methodologies, mechanical system testing, balancing activities, and applicable building codes and industry standards.

Working knowledge of industry guidance such as ASHRAE recommendations, NFPA standards, and testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB) practices.

Experience within highly regulated or continuously operating facilities such as healthcare campuses, laboratories, manufacturing environments, semiconductor facilities, or data centers is advantageous.

Professional commissioning certifications (CxA, CCP, CBCP, BCxP, or equivalent) are considered beneficial but are not mandatory.

Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Willingness to travel approximately 50% as project schedules require, including occasional extended site assignments.

Primary Responsibilities

Develop and execute commissioning plans that verify building systems satisfy project requirements, operational objectives, and owner expectations.

Conduct field evaluations throughout installation, startup, and system acceptance activities to confirm equipment readiness and proper functionality.

Perform pre-functional inspections, operational testing, integrated systems verification, and performance validation for mechanical and facility infrastructure systems.

Review construction documentation, equipment submittals, startup records, and testing results to identify deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.

Coordinate with engineers, contractors, equipment vendors, project managers, and facility representatives to resolve technical issues and maintain project schedules.

Track commissioning observations, maintain project documentation, prepare reports, and support turnover packages for completed facilities.

Assist with commissioning services for new construction, modernization projects, facility upgrades, recommissioning efforts, and ongoing operational improvement initiatives.

Support building performance optimization by identifying opportunities to improve reliability, maintainability, energy performance, and overall system effectiveness.

Promote safe work practices while ensuring all testing activities comply with applicable codes, project specifications, and client requirements.

Additional Information

Candidates whose background is limited exclusively to petrochemical or refinery commissioning are not the target profile for this opportunity. Individuals with broad commercial, institutional, industrial, healthcare, manufacturing, mission-critical, or similar building infrastructure experience will be given stronger consideration.
