Description
We are looking for a Power BI Data Reporting Consultant to support data visualization and reporting initiatives for an agriculture-focused organization in Davenport, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a data specialist who can translate business information into clear, impactful dashboards and reporting solutions. The role will focus on improving existing data models, developing intuitive visual reporting assets, and helping stakeholders make better use of business intelligence tools.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that present business data in a clear and meaningful way.
Evaluate current data models and enhance their structure, performance, and usability to support accurate reporting.
Partner with business users to understand reporting needs and turn those needs into effective visual analytics solutions.
Build reporting views and dashboard elements that make complex operational data easier for stakeholders to interpret.
Use Microsoft SQL and related BI tools to extract, organize, and prepare data for reporting and analysis.
Maintain and refine existing business intelligence assets to improve consistency, reliability, and end-user experience.
Requirements
3+ years of experience in data reporting, business intelligence, or a related analytics role.
Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Power BI, including dashboard development and data visualization best practices.
Strong experience working with Microsoft SQL for data querying, validation, and reporting support.
Solid understanding of data modeling concepts and performance optimization within BI environments.
Ability to create operational and reporting dashboards that support business decision-making.
Familiarity with business intelligence tools and reporting frameworks used in enterprise settings.
Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into reporting solutions.
