The Electrical Maintenance Technician installs, tests, repairs, and maintains electrical or electronic plant production machinery, support equipment, building, and other systems throughout the site to maintain optimum operating conditions and plant productivity. The role is expected to report to and assist with both electrical and mechanical issues as well as:
Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment.
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in Industrial environment.
Perform electrical work in accordance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations.
Use hand tools and power tools to install and connect wiring, switches, and other electrical components.
Test electrical systems for proper operation and safety.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements.
Installation of switch gear, motors, transformers, etc.
Experience with PLC, Robotics, Servo drives.
Write, program, troubleshoot, modify and/or repair programmable logic controllers, CNC machines, robotics, and other electronic equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical equipment and machine components.
Modifies and writes logic control programs. Assists in the diagnosis of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and similar problems and apply appropriate corrective action.
Performs frequency drives, writes drive logic in PLC code, creates HMI applications uploads and downloads PLC programs and HMI applications, programs ladder logic to troubleshoot equipment, integrates new processes into equipment, sets up network communications and sets up advanced routing of Ethernet protocols.
Participates in and successfully completes training directed at increasing job-related trade skills as mandated by management/supervisor.
Helps train Maintenance employees in keeping all equipment in good repair and regularly serviced
Experience programming/troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC s
Experience programming/troubleshooting Kawasaki Robots
Experience programming/troubleshooting electrical circuits and controls
What you will bring:
Industrial Electrician experience a plus.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage electrical systems
Familiar with the National Electrical Code (NEC)
Technical knowledge and skills in the following areas: PLC's, Computers & Information Technology, Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Motion/Motor Control, Welding, Machining
Ability to use hand tools and power tools effectively and safely
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Available to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns
