Senior SCADA Engineer/OT Systems Engineer (SCADA)/Industrial Systems Engineer SCADA- Remote

We are seeking a Senior SCADA / Ignition Engineer to design, develop, and support industrial automation and monitoring systems. The ideal candidate has deep hands-on experience with Inductive Automation Ignition, strong SCADA architecture skills, and a solid background in industrial control systems (ICS) across manufacturing, utilities, energy, or water/wastewater environments.

This role will focus on SCADA system design, integration, optimization, and troubleshooting, working closely with controls, OT, and IT teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain SCADA systems using Ignition (Perspective, Vision, Gateway, Tags, Alarming, Reporting)

• Architect scalable and secure SCADA solutions for industrial environments

• Integrate SCADA with PLCs, RTUs, HMIs, historians, and enterprise systems

• Develop real-time dashboards, alarms, and reporting solutions

• Configure and optimize OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, Ethernet/IP, DNP3, and other industrial protocols

• Support system upgrades, migrations, and performance tuning

• Implement cybersecurity best practices for OT/ICS environments

• Troubleshoot production issues and provide root-cause analysis

• Collaborate with controls engineers, IT teams, and operations stakeholders

• Create technical documentation, standards, and best practices

• 7+ years of experience in SCADA / industrial automation

• Strong hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA (Inductive Automation)

• Proficiency in PLC integration (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider, GE, etc.)

• Experience with industrial communication protocols (OPC UA, MQTT, Modbus, DNP3)

• Solid understanding of industrial networking and OT architectures

• Experience with scripting (Python, SQL) within Ignition

• Knowledge of historian databases, alarms, and reporting

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
