Position Overview

We are seeking strong Apigee Developers to support enterprise API management and digital transformation initiatives for Truist. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Apigee API Gateway development, RESTful services, API security, microservices integration, and enterprise API management platforms.

Candidates should possess solid backend integration experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced enterprise banking environment.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of overall software development experience
• 5+ years of hands-on Apigee development experience
• Strong experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices
• Experience implementing enterprise API management solutions
• Strong understanding of API security standards and best practices
• Experience with API lifecycle management and API governance
• Strong troubleshooting and performance optimization skills
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Required Technical Skills

Strong hands-on expertise in Apigee Edge / Apigee X, RESTful APIs, API proxies, API policies, OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, API security, API gateway implementation, microservices architecture, JSON/XML, JavaScript, Node.js, Java, Spring Boot, CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, Jenkins, and cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS. Candidates should also have experience with API monitoring, logging, traffic management, rate limiting, caching, debugging, and backend system integrations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy APIs using Apigee
• Build scalable and secure enterprise API solutions
• Develop API proxies, policies, shared flows, and integrations
• Implement API authentication, authorization, and security controls
• Integrate APIs with backend microservices and enterprise applications
• Troubleshoot API gateway and integration issues
• Optimize API performance, caching, and traffic management
• Support CI/CD automation and deployment processes
• Collaborate with architects, developers, QA teams, and business stakeholders
