Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Micro Focus Enterprise Administrator with strong cloud expertise in Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform. This role focuses on managing Micro Focus enterprise environments while supporting modernization and migration to cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will ensure high availability, performance, and security of critical applications in hybrid or cloud-native setups.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support Micro Focus environments including Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer.
• Deploy, configure, and maintain Micro Focus applications on Azure or Google Cloud Platform infrastructure.
• Manage cloud-based environments including virtual machines, storage, networking, and security.
• Lead or support migration of legacy/mainframe workloads to cloud platforms.
• Monitor system health, performance, and availability using cloud-native monitoring tools.
• Perform performance tuning and capacity planning for Micro Focus workloads in cloud environments.
• Manage batch jobs, JCL, and scheduling tools in distributed/cloud systems.
• Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions using cloud services.
• Automate deployments and system management using scripting and Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
• Collaborate with development, DevOps, and cloud engineering teams.
• Ensure compliance with security policies and best practices in cloud environments.
• Provide production support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
• 4 10 years of experience in Micro Focus Enterprise Server administration.
• Hands-on experience with either Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Strong understanding of COBOL, JCL, and mainframe concepts.
• Create and manage Enterprise Developer / Enterprise Server regions (SANDBOX, DEV, QA, Pre-Prod, PROD) on Windows and Linux servers.
• Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Enterprise Developer (ED) and Enterprise Server (ES).
• Configure and maintain listeners, web services, and SSL setups.
• Experience with Linux/Unix and/or Windows server administration.
• Familiarity with networking concepts (VPC, subnets, firewalls, load balancers).
• Experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, or SQL Server.
• Knowledge of cloud migration strategies and hybrid architecture.
• Scripting experience (Shell, PowerShell, or Python).
