Cloud & Identity Administrator

Description

We are looking for a Cloud & Identity Administrator to support and strengthen core infrastructure services in Florida. This contract opportunity is ideal for a systems specialist who brings strong experience across identity platforms, Windows server environments, messaging systems, and cloud administration. The person in this role will help maintain secure, reliable operations while contributing to ongoing improvements in system performance, availability, and user support.

Responsibilities:
Manage and support identity and access services across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid authentication environments.
Administer Windows Server systems, ensuring servers remain patched, stable, secure, and operating efficiently.
Oversee Microsoft Exchange environments, including both on-premises and Microsoft 365 services, to maintain dependable email functionality.
Monitor infrastructure, hosted applications, and network-connected systems to identify issues early and restore service quickly when disruptions occur.
Investigate system alerts, log activity, and performance data to troubleshoot outages, reduce recurring problems, and improve overall uptime.
Deploy, configure, and maintain operating systems, server hardware, and related platform components in alignment with operational needs.
Create and use PowerShell scripts to streamline administration, automate routine tasks, and improve consistency across support activities.
Contribute to technology planning by assisting with hardware refreshes, software upgrades, and infrastructure enhancement initiatives.
Provide organization-wide support for application updates and deliver technical assistance to users in a clear and practical manner.
Participate in after-hours or weekend work when needed to complete maintenance, resolve incidents, or support critical systems.

Requirements

3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, or a closely related engineering role.
Strong hands-on experience administering Active Directory in complex or multi-forest environments.
Practical knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID and hybrid identity tools such as Azure AD Connect.
Proficiency with Microsoft Windows Server administration and support of enterprise server environments.
Experience managing Microsoft Exchange in both on-premises and cloud-based deployments.
Working ability in PowerShell for scripting, automation, and system management tasks.
Familiarity with system monitoring, security logging, and SIEM platforms used to track performance and threats.
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly, stay organized, and maintain accurate operational documentation.
