Position Overview
iLAB is seeking a Project Management Specialist to support a large-scale IT modernization program within a government environment.
This role focuses on project coordination, governance, reporting, and operational support to ensure alignment with PMO standards and program objectives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in supporting complex projects and cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
Governance & Compliance
· Ensure adherence to PMO standards, methodologies, and governance requirements
· Support compliance reviews and identify gaps or improvement areas
· Document findings and support corrective actions
Metrics, Reporting & Analysis
· Track and analyze project and program metrics
· Prepare reports, dashboards, and insights for leadership
· Support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement
Project Coordination & Support
· Support project managers with planning, documentation, and execution
· Assist with schedules, action logs, and governance materials
· Ensure consistent application of project management best practices
Administrative & Documentation Support
· Coordinate meetings, documentation, and project records
· Maintain and publish project artifacts
· Ensure accuracy and accessibility of documentation
Tools & Data Management
· Administer project management tools such as Smartsheet
· Maintain dashboards, templates, and workflows
· Support users and troubleshoot tool-related issues
Knowledge Management
· Organize and maintain project documentation repositories
· Ensure consistency in naming, structure, and access
· Support knowledge sharing across teams
Required Qualifications
· 3+ years of experience supporting IT or large-scale projects
· Experience working with cross-functional teams
· Experience with tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, or Primavera
· Strong communication and organizational skills
· Ability to coordinate teams and support project delivery
Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
· Experience with project management methodologies and PMO standards
· Experience with risk and issue tracking
· Experience facilitating meetings and documentation
· Experience in government or large enterprise environments
· Experience with tools such as ServiceNow or DocuSign
· Strong problem-solving and proactive mindset
