Business Management Specialist

Position Overview

iLAB is seeking Business Management Specialists to support a large-scale IT modernization program within a government environment.

This role plays a key part in business operations, stakeholder engagement, and organizational readiness, ensuring alignment between business processes and system modernization efforts.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and experienced in supporting business operations, process improvement, and cross-functional coordination.

Key Responsibilities

Business Operations & Program Support

·       Support daily operations and administrative needs of the program

·       Assist with planning and tracking operational work plans

·       Maintain program documentation, trackers, and shared resources

·       Support staffing coordination and onboarding activities

Process Improvement & Analysis

·       Analyze and document current business processes and workflows

·       Develop As-Is and To-Be process documentation

·       Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency

·       Track KPIs and support reporting on progress and performance

Communication & Stakeholder Engagement

·       Support communication strategies and stakeholder engagement efforts

·       Prepare updates, reports, newsletters, and briefings

·       Communicate change initiatives and project impacts

·       Facilitate collaboration across business and technical teams

Change Management Support

·       Assist in developing and maintaining change management materials

·       Support training and user adoption efforts

·       Help ensure organizational readiness for system changes

Required Qualifications

·       3+ years of experience supporting IT or business operations projects

·       Experience working with cross-functional teams

·       Experience supporting communications in complex projects

·       Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills

Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with business process mapping and documentation

·       Experience facilitating stakeholder sessions and workshops

·       Familiarity with web applications and business systems

·       Strong problem-solving and proactive mindset
