Senior .NET / C# Developer

Location: Hybrid (Westlake, Dallas, or Austin, TX)
Duration: Contract-to-Hire (3+ Months)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior .NET/C# Developer to join a dynamic technology team supporting a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for a hands-on software engineer with strong full stack development expertise and a proven track record of delivering scalable, high-quality applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain business-critical applications using modern development practices and technologies. The role requires a self-driven professional who can thrive in an Agile environment while collaborating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Build and enhance RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven application components.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using Angular or React and modern web technologies.
  • Collaborate with product owners, business users, and engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including planning, estimation, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decision-making.
  • Implement best practices for code quality, performance, testing, and security.
  • Support CI/CD processes and cloud-based application deployments.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in full stack software development using C# and .NET technologies.
  • Strong experience with:
    • .NET Core / .NET Framework
    • C#
    • RESTful APIs
    • Microservices Architecture
    • Event-Driven Architecture
  • Front-end development experience with:
    • Angular and/or React
    • HTML
    • CSS
    • JSON
  • Experience working with relational databases such as:
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Oracle
  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms such as:
    • AWS
    • Microsoft Azure
    • Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform)
    • Cloud Foundry
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong customer-focused mindset and ownership mentality.
  • Quick learner with the ability to understand complex business and technical concepts.
