Job Description
Seeking a senior, hands-on Program Manager IV with deep enterprise experience to lead and integrate SRE deliverables at scale. The PM IV will orchestrate technology workstreams across application and infrastructure teams, manage vendor/partner relationships, and present to VP/SVP leadership — delivering reliability and observability outcomes with no late surprises. This role is expected to exercise delivery judgment, identify architectural and dependency risk, and ensure SRE outcomes are operationalized.
Job summary / What you’ll do • Own the integrated delivery plan for SRE deliverables: sequence workstreams, define milestones, and chain dependencies across multiple teams and vendors. • Drive SRE outcomes: runbook maturity, SLO/SLI definition, incident management maturity, alert tuning and resilience engineering across applications and platform. • Maintain program governance artifacts: integrated program plan, RAID, dependency tracking, and decision logs; ensure executives are provided concise, credible status and risk updates (SteerCo). • Collaborate with Observability team (Dynatrace engagement), Platform Ops, and application owners to translate architecture risk into delivery mitigations (not solution design, but strong solution literacy). • Integrate the SRE delivery framework (program plan templates, interface agreements, dependency models and decision documentation) across PMs and teams.
Key responsibilities • Own the integrated delivery plan for SRE deliverables: sequence workstreams, define milestones and chain dependencies across application, infrastructure and vendor teams. • Drive SRE outcomes: lead runbook maturity, SLO/SLI definition, incident management maturity, alert tuning and resilience engineering to improve service reliability and operability. • Maintain program governance artifacts: own the integrated program plan, RAID, dependency mapping, decision logs and an operational readiness dashboard; prepare concise SteerCo materials and executive status reporting. • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders: facilitate alignment and decisions among Platform Ops, application owners, security, infrastructure, observability/Dynatrace contacts and third parties; run risk/decision workshops and dependency resolution sessions. • Tracking & reporting: own integrated program-level tracking and reporting — weekly consolidated status, RAID/dependency dashboards and an operational readiness view — and provide daily reporting during critical delivery/change windows. Produce SteerCo-ready summaries and a 24-hour post-change validation summary following major change windows. • Delivery judgment & escalation: proactively identify architectural and delivery risks, recommend mitigation options, and escalate appropriately to remove blockers and avoid late surprises for leadership. • Operationalization & handoff: ensure SRE deliverables are operationalized — complete runbooks/playbooks, training/knowledge transfer and documented handoffs with measurable acceptance criteria for steady-state ownership. • Resource coordination & continuity: coordinate internal and external resources to meet delivery objectives and establish clear handoff and continuity practices so workstreams can be sustained beyond initial delivery.
Qualifications / Experience (non-cumulative) • 3+ years as a Senior Program Manager leading large multi-workstream technology initiatives; comfortable with parallel workstreams and vendor ecosystems. • 7+ years overall experience in application/infrastructure delivery with proven SRE/observability program exposure. • Experience managing enterprise programs where SRE delivered outcomes (SLO/SLI adoption, incident management, platform hardening). • Proven track record presenting to VP/SVP/executive forums and maintaining program governance artifacts for executive consumption.
Key skills & competencies • Enterprise program leadership: integrate many independent workstreams and hold teams accountable to commitments. • Multi-workstream integration: coordinate PMs, vendors and independent teams into a unified delivery plan. • Business–technology translation: fluent in both business and technical domains — can read architecture and dependency models, and call out delivery risk. • Executive presence & communication: confident communicator with strong executive presence; delivers concise, credible SteerCo updates and can push back constructively on unrealistic plans or unaddressed risks. • Proactive risk & issue management: actively identifies, escalates and mitigates risks and dependencies early; ensures leadership is never surprised by delays, scope impacts or delivery threats. • Adaptability in enterprise environments: effective across mixed delivery models, legacy and modern tech stacks, and organizational complexity while maintaining delivery momentum. • Calm under pressure: maintains clarity, organization and forward progress amid ambiguity, competing priorities and high-visibility scrutiny. • Tracking & reporting: experienced producing integrated program dashboards and SteerCo-ready reporting
