Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer specializing in Multi-Cloud Connectivity Architecture to design, implement, and manage our next-generation global network infrastructure. In this role, you will bridge the gap between traditional enterprise networking and modern public cloud ecosystems (AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform). Your primary focus will be engineering secure, scalable, and highly available connectivity patterns that link our on-premises data centers, edge locations, and diverse cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities
Cloud & Hybrid Networking Architecture
· Design and implement multi-cloud network architectures utilizing cloud-native constructs (e.g., AWS Transit Gateway, Azure Virtual WAN, Google Cloud Platform VPC Network Peering).
· Architect and manage high-throughput hybrid connectivity solutions, including AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and Google Cloud Interconnect.
· Develop standard deployment patterns for multi-region and multi-cloud traffic routing, ensuring minimal latency and maximum redundancy.
Network Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
· Drive a Network as Code philosophy by automating the provisioning of cloud networks using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
· Integrate network deployment pipelines into existing CI/CD workflows (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
Routing, Switching & Security
· Manage complex routing environments using advanced BGP configurations (AS-Path prepending, communities, MED) for predictable traffic engineering across multiple clouds.
· Implement robust cloud security boundaries using Cloud Firewalls, Network Security Groups (NSGs), and Next-Generation Firewalls (NGFWs) virtual appliances (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet) deployed in the cloud.
· Deploy and maintain secure overlay networks using SD-WAN, IPsec VPNs, and WireGuard.
Operations, Monitoring & Troubleshooting
· Establish comprehensive visibility into multi-cloud environments using network observability tools (e.g., Datadog, ThousandEyes, AWS VPC Flow Logs, Azure Network Watcher).
· Act as the Tier-3 escalation point for complex network outages, routing loops, and performance degradation across hybrid paths.
Experience & Education
· Experience: 5+ years of experience in enterprise infrastructure networking, with at least 3+ years dedicated to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud network engineering.
· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Certifications
While not strictly mandatory, top candidates will possess one or more of the following:
· AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
· Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate (AZ-700)
· Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Network Engineer
· Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Enterprise/Service Provider.
· Hashi Corp Certified: Terraform Associate.
